Edge-Sweets Company (ESCO) designs and builds machinery for the polyurethane industry. We offer a broad range of foam fabrication machinery, cutting lines, engineered systems, PU meter, and mix and dispensing machinery. We specialize in low-pressure dynamic mixing technology, filled systems, hydrophilic PU systems, and hot cast elastomer processing.

 

We need a hands-on, collaborative leader to join our growing team as Production Manager. As a Production Manager, you have a thorough knowledge of production procedures and will be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines, delivering reliable, high-performing and cost-effective machinery that exceed our customers’ requirements every time.

 

What will you do?

  • You will lead the full production team in achievement, safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.
  • You will organize workflow, arrange and draw up schedules, assess and improve processes to streamline production efforts, and resolve issues to meet specifications and commitments.
  • You will ensure that health and safety guidelines and company policies, procedures, and best practices are followed at all times.
  • You will make strategic decisions on staffing priorities. You will be in charge of hiring, timekeeping, and team engagement. You will set clear expectations, drive accountability, and provide support. You will review work performance, identify training needs, and develop growth plans. You will stay current on company communication to establish a positive team member experience and promote an inclusive and inspired work culture.
  • You will champion problem-solving and implement the Principles of Lean to increase morale, empower employees to make better decisions, and create impactful work.

 

What will make you successful?

  • At least five (5) years of proven Production Manager experience in a machine-building or capital equipment manufacturing setting
  • A results-driven approach in a union environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team
  • Recognized success in communicating, building relationships, and gaining the trust of different personalities at all levels
  • Solid track record of applying Lean concepts in operations (Six Sigma or Lean certification desired)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and any ERP software
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
