Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an ONSITE C#, .NET Software Developer to provide support to the Department of Energy Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Contract located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. You will be working closely with the Customer, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and other developers for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions using C#,
Java Script, .NET, ASP.NET MVC Core, and Entity Framework Core with a Microsoft SQL Server backend.
- Additionally, you will help support Commercial off–the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
The position requires the ability to provide proof of US Citizenship on employment to obtain a DOE HSPD-12 Badge in accordance with the terms of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Write secure, clean, scalable, and efficient code using C# and ASP.NET MVC Core.
- Demonstrate knowledge of SharePoint components, including lists, custom website pages, web parts, workflows, and content types.
- Build custom workflows using Power Automate and develop responsive and intelligent apps using Power Apps.
- Generate advanced reports and dashboards within Power BI.
- Work with stakeholders to review existing SharePoint applications and identify changes/enhancements and improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for creation/configuration of new SharePoint sites and support existing SharePoint sites and related libraries, controls and tools.
- Administer applications (but not limited to) managing permissions/access and creating/maintaining groups to ensure security of data.
- Monitor execution of scheduled batch jobs and apply updates to PowerShell scripts as needed.
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of solutions using PowerApps along with Power Automate as required.
- Supports Commercial off–the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
Qualifications
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- RESIDE NEAR CARLSBAD, NEW MEXICO OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE
- Must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent, and at least two years of relevant experience in Information Technology. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET MVC Core
- Proficient in SharePoint Development and Administration
- Familiar with Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Familiar with front-end technologies HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage projects from concept to production.
- Must be motivated, independent, and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET MVC Core.
- Experience with Java Script, PowerShell, TypeScript.
- Knowledge of software design patterns such as dependency injection and clean architecture.
- Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services (SSRS & SSIS).
- Familiar with Business Intelligence, Power BI, and Data visualization.
- Experience with the JavaScript ecosystem such as Node.js, NPM.
- Experience with building data integrations/interfaces between systems.
- Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Development, and SPFX is a huge plus.
- Experience with SharePoint Administration.
