Job Title: Feed Mill Operator

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Feed Mill Operator. This role involves operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality animal feed products. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a passion for ensuring the consistent production of nutritious feed for livestock.

Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate feed milling equipment including mixers, grinders, conveyors, and pelletizers to produce animal feed according to specifications.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure feed quality meets established standards. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Ingredient Handling: Receive, unload, and store raw materials such as grains, vitamins, and minerals. Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to formulation guidelines.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times. Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and quality assurance documentation. Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the production team to coordinate workflow and achieve production targets. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in feed milling or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of feed formulation principles and familiarity with feed ingredients is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
