PLC and Controls Programmer

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a PLC and Controls Programmer opportunity for our customer in Carlsbad, NM to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Work Location: On-Site at WIPP
Per diem is available for those who qualify.

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in programming in Allen Bradley Studio 5000, RS Logix 500, Factory Talk, and the Allen Bradley software suite.
• Proficient in Modbus integration with Allen Bradley PLC’s.
• Familiar with SCADA interfaces, preference would be with Ignition software.
