Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Developer 2 (Adobe AEM Forms) opportunity in Los Alamos, NM at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Work Location: 100% Remote (may come onsite for badging and onboarding)
Work Schedule: 9/80 or 5/8 shift
Clearance: None required but must be able to obtain clearance.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related degree, plus five years’ experience; or equivalent experience and education (MS 2 years; AS 9 years; No degree 13 years)

Desired Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Adobe Experience manager/adaptive forms module
  • JAVA development background (Springboot RM mapping)
  • Strong JS background and JS framework experience

Software Developer
The selected candidate will work as a Software Developer 3, you will support the development of Adobe AEM Forms at Los Alamos National Laboratory. AEM Forms is a new implementation at Los Alamos National Laboratory which will provide the candidate the opportunity to help build the Adobe AEM platform at Los Alamos from the ground up.

On any given day, you may be asked to perform the following:
  • Administer the Adobe AEM platform.
  • Work with consultants to implement the platform on LANL provided infrastructure.
  • Work with other internal teams to support the AEM platform.
  • Work with internal customers to define requirements for new AEM forms.
  • Design and develop Dynamic-Interactive AEM adaptive forms.
  • Develop AEM adaptive forms from xdp templates.
  • Work with other LANL teams to perform integrations for data needed on AEM forms.
  • Create XDP form templates using Adobe designer.
  • Database and REST service integration with Adaptive forms.
  • Configure CRX, OSGI services/components, Sling models and APIs.
  • Install core code bundles and packages for AEM-related projects.
  • Implement building framework.
  • Deliver solutions within defined time frames and feature sets.

In addition to the duties outlined above, the Software Developer 3 will be required to have demonstrated skills in the following areas:
  • Experience with managing large scale projects and coordinating tasks across multiple organizations.
  • Experience with managing vendor contracts and negotiating deliverables and timelines.
  • AEM Backend Development like Sling Servlets, OSGi Components and JCR Queries.
  • Core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix.
  • Touch UI, Sightly (HTL) and Sling Models.
  • Adobe Experience Manager developer certification.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience working in the Information Technology field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to design and implement process improvements.
  • Understanding of Agile Development framework.
  • Familiarity with federal government security requirements, and ability to implement and assess effectiveness of security controls.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Adobe Experience Manager developer certification
  • Proven multi-year experience with Java, JEE, XML and JSON
  • Good practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Profound experience in at least one JavaScript Framework, such as React, Vue.js, or AngularJS.
  • Experience with highly trafficked and scalable web content management systems.
  • Profound experience with REST APIs, Unit Testing, GIT source control, agile methodologies, and software design patterns.
  • Knowledge of trends in personalization, headless, data driven optimization.
  • Strong Java (OSGi, JSP, Servlets) and web development (HTML, JS, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.) background with experience building cutting edge web & responsive mobile experiences. Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks.
  • Experience with build automation tools (Maven and Gradle).
  • Ability to work well with others across multiple teams to gather, anticipate, track, and incorporate new requirements while maintaining configuration management and version control.
