Overview: As the Director of Cybersecurity, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the cybersecurity initiatives at Edgeworth Security. You will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with other departments to protect our digital assets and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information.

Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:

1. Cybersecurity Strategy and Planning:
   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
   2. Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and formulate proactive defense measures.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
   1. Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity experts, setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence.
   2. Define roles and responsibilities within the team and ensure the team's growth and development.
3. Risk Assessment and Management:
   1. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify security gaps and vulnerabilities.
   2. Implement measures to mitigate identified risks and manage incident response plans.
4. Security Architecture and Technology:
   1. Evaluate, select, and implement advanced cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices.
   2. Oversee the design and maintenance of security architecture, networks, and infrastructure.
5. Compliance and Regulations:
   1. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements related to cybersecurity.
   2. Keep abreast of evolving cybersecurity regulations and adjust strategies accordingly.
6. Security Awareness and Training:
   1. Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees about security risks and best practices.
   2. Foster a cybersecurity-conscious culture throughout the organization.
7. Incident Response and Recovery:
   1. Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches and coordinate recovery measures.
   2. Conduct post-incident analysis and implement improvements to prevent future incidents.
8. Reporting and Communication:
   1. Prepare and deliver regular reports on the state of cybersecurity to senior management, stakeholders, and clients.
   2. Communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• CISSP certification required.
• Professions certifications like CISM, or CISA are highly desirable
• Proven experience in leading a cybersecurity team and developing strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibiting a strong ability to stay focused and composed, even during challenging situations or during times of high stress, ensuring effective performance in demanding work environments. 
• Being able to maintain a serious expression even when everything around you is in turmoil.
