Overview: As the Director of Cybersecurity, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the cybersecurity initiatives at Edgeworth Security. You will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with other departments to protect our digital assets and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information.
Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and formulate proactive defense measures.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity experts, setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Define roles and responsibilities within the team and ensure the team's growth and development.
- Risk Assessment and Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify security gaps and vulnerabilities.
- Implement measures to mitigate identified risks and manage incident response plans.
- Security Architecture and Technology:
- Evaluate, select, and implement advanced cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of security architecture, networks, and infrastructure.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements related to cybersecurity.
- Keep abreast of evolving cybersecurity regulations and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Security Awareness and Training:
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees about security risks and best practices.
- Foster a cybersecurity-conscious culture throughout the organization.
- Incident Response and Recovery:
- Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches and coordinate recovery measures.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and implement improvements to prevent future incidents.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on the state of cybersecurity to senior management, stakeholders, and clients.
- Communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- CISSP certification required.
- Professions certifications like CISM, or CISA are highly desirable
- Proven experience in leading a cybersecurity team and developing strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibiting a strong ability to stay focused and composed, even during challenging situations or during times of high stress, ensuring effective performance in demanding work environments.
