IT Sys Admin

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system software to ensure high levels of availability and security.
• Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, and data backup systems to safeguard artistic works and digital assets, including inventory data.
• Own the infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users, addressing and resolving IT issues in a timely manner.
• Ensuring cybersecurity measures are in place.
• Manage access to all user accounts for company services.
• Provide technical support to employees for specialized creative software and hardware.
• Keep accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, related to inventory management tools.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; Linux, UNIX, and Windows Server.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox, Docker).
• Knowledge of system security techniques and best practices, including access controls and disaster recovery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems across various technology stacks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a system administration role, managing both servers and network infrastructures.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in IT support, system administration, network administration, and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
