**Overview:**
The Human Resource Generalist will manage the day to day operations of the HR Department and the administration of HR policies, procedures and programs. The position will assist with guiding employees through various human resource processes, answering questions they may have about policies, helping to establish new policies and procedures. The Accounting Department is the focal point for payroll procesing, however, this position is the back up if and when needed.
**Duties:**
- Manage recruitment processes including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation procedures.
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee relations matters and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
- Support performance management processes and any performance improvement plans.
- Assist in handling benefit administration and open enrollment.
- Collaborate with leadership team to ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Maintains physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, pay changes and performance improvement plans if needed.
- Generates official internal documents such as offer letters, performance improvement plans, termination documents.
-Handle claims for workers comp injuries and Washington paid leave program.
- Assist in planning company-wide events.
**Requirements:**
- AA degree in related field desired.
- Proven experience 3 to 5 years as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Knowledge of HR systems such as PayNW a plus.
- Strong understanding of human resources management principles.
- Familiarity with performance management processes.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
- Ability to gain the trust of employees and the leadership team.
- Knowledge of computer programs, spreadsheets, etc.
