POSITION TITLE: Secondary MTSS Instructional Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Educational Services
REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent/Executive Director of Educational Services
JOB GOAL: To provide a comprehensive continuum of training related to RTI (Response to Intervention) through consultation, coaching, and planned professional development for district and site certified personnel regarding the implementation of academic and behavior interventions designed to enhance student learning at the secondary level.
Essential Job Functions:
Length of Contract: Two hundred forty (240) contract days
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Associate
Superintendent/Executive Director of Educational Services in
accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policies and state law.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in School Psychology preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret assessment data, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and write formal correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from school personnel and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to use mathematical skills required to conduct correlations of data and statistical analysis. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
REASONABLE ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, as well as deal with several abstract and/or concrete variables in a multitude of situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research practices. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
