Then the Coordinator of Business Services position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.
The Coordinator of Business Services’ overall responsibility is to build business relationships with current and new clients, ensuring that leads are followed up on by Business Services Representatives and Job Developers. This is a hands-on position with oversight of the business services unit with the expectation that all benchmarks will be met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Successful Elements:
Oversee daily function of Business Services Team and scheduling of staff
Coordinate outreach sessions by engaging resources including, chambers of commerce, businesses, economic development organizations, and industry partnerships alongside Director of Business and Community Engagement
Work with the Workforce Development Board’s Strategic Innovation Officer to identify and support sector-based strategies
Develop and present electronic presentations
Ensure all data is entered in a timely and efficiently into system(s) of record
Assist in the development of a communication plan in coordination with the WDB
Oversee the planning and coordination of regional forums, job fairs, recruitment events
Develop a network for potential business leads
Develop and conduct Business Services Team meetings with community partners to work collaboratively to address workforce needs
Analyze and understand labor market information; identify and target potential business leads, especially those with high-priority occupations (HPOs)
Conduct cold calling and external blitz strategies to expand employer base
Set up meetings with employers and provide an overview of our business services
Refer employer to appropriate team member, depending on requested service
Understand and promote the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program and Registered Apprenticeship (RA) program to eligible employers
Attend networking events and conferences
Develop strategic quarterly business plans
Attend required meetings and apprise staff of discussions held at these meetings
Monitor quality of referrals provided to jobseekers
Conduct random quality assurance checks with businesses and jobseekers
Support team members in completion of all tasks

Qualifications
Required Experience:
Three to five years of professional experience in sales or a related business relationship management capacity
Previous management and customer service experience required
Ability to conduct cold calls with appropriate phone etiquette
Excellent presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
A valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
