Then the Intake and Assessment Career Advisor position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.
Scope of Position: This position provides an array of outreach, eligibility, intake, orientation, case management and data handling services.
Perform proactive outreach and follow-up with candidate pipeline to ensure successful program engagement to include initial appointment reminder calls, rescheduling of missed appointments, outreach to disengaged candidates, and assistance with securing needed documentation.
· Utilize recruitment and outreach strategies as needed to support program enrollment benchmark; conduct partner orientations on program services and eligibility requirements
· Coordinate referrals from CAO and partner agencies to ensure appropriate intake documentation is received and completed
· Conduct timely, accurate, and complete eligibility determination for program applicants and referrals
· Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants during outreach and intake; create participant files and necessary documents for program enrollment
· Resolve issues that may impede program engagement and successful outcomes by identifying employment barriers and facilitating referrals to community agencies
· Facilitate intake and program orientation with jobseekers, creating a motivating, informative, and supportive transition to program enrollment
· Provide Welcome Center and CareerLink overviews and assist participants with the completion of client profile on CWDS and Compass
· Coordinate regularly scheduled group and individual intake and eligibility sessions across the CareerLink® Lehigh Valley locations
· Maintain effective communication with teammates to support a smooth transition of candidates into program services
· Counsel, motivate and encourage jobseekers in advancing employment and training goals
· Ensure timely, accurate and complete data input for enrollments; coordinate and maintain program enrollment electronic records, reports, and related documents
· Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that contacts are made as required
· Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and competency in all agency programs by utilizing internal and external policy, as well as pertinent regulations and legislation

· Ability to prioritize tasks, and document visits and contacts, and maintain flexibility
· Proven verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
· Proficient in computer applications to include MS Office
· High school diploma required/college degree or equivalent experience preferred
· Customer service experience required
· Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation
