As Recruiter, you will manage the overall function of the recruitment and direct placement process within the American Job Center. This includes working with the community outreach and career services team to determine places to recruit, working with the employers to understand needs, and screening and identifying qualified candidates for referral to employers, resulting in their hire.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Develop a pipeline of job seekers for direct placement across multiple industries.
- Establish and maintain relationships with small and large businesses.
- Initiate a high level of engagement and reengagement of job seekers via phone and email.
- Manage onsite and offsite recruitment events on behalf of business customers.
- Understand, in detail, the needs of business customers regarding their open job opportunities.
- Act as an ambassador and concierge to the business community, developing and maintaining relationships with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, and other business-oriented
- Collaborate with the Department of Labor to develop job leads.
- Develop and distribute electronic/paper outreach materials in collaboration with Center
- Track and confirm job orders have been entered in the
- Provide support to Career Advisors regarding case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes and goals are met.
- Implement recruiting processes and initiatives based on employer needs.
- Receive and review resumes of job applicants.
- Screen job seekers for job openings
- Assess job seekers’ skills and job readiness.
- Attend job fairs, networking events and information sessions for hiring.
- Develop contacts at colleges and universities.
- Communicate with team regarding position openings.
- Work with the leadership team to plan, implement and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of each business customer.
- Reach weekly and quarterly goals by maintaining high activity levels.
- Track progress for weekly reports
- Provide support in Montgomery County as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Reliable vehicle and clean driving record required
- Excellent telephone, computer and written communication skills
- Ability to make presentations to large groups of people
- Recruitment, sales or talent acquisition experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM (i.e., Salesforce or HubSpot)
