Job Details: Tutor
Looking for responsible tutors who can help students understand different subjects. Tutors will support one-on-one or small groups of students.
Compensation: $17-18 Hourly
Openings: 4
- Seeking candidates with an interest in working with youth in grade levels 9th-12th, in a wide variety of High School subjects.
- Available Monday – Friday during school hours for 25 - 29 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage students to get out of their comfort zone
- Work and direct small groups of students
- Organizational skills with paperwork
- Provide a safe environment for students
- Interact with students, parents, and administration
- Great communication skills with both students and staff members
- Must be punctual
- Must be flexible in covering other programs or events when needed
- Must follow protocols and procedures presented to them at staff meetings
Skills/Qualifications: *
- Demonstrate knowledge and enjoyment in the program
- Be able to lead and plan lessons for students
- Communicate with students to ensure understanding and participation
- Work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds

Requirements & Desired Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong written and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual/Spanish required
- Experience with group facilitation
- Demonstrated knowledge of case management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Skill in interviewing clients to identify challenges and barriers in personal, legal, social, economic and health needs.
- Strong ability in planning, prioritizing and organizing a diverse workload
- Must be available to work some evenings and Saturdays
- Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment dated within 60 days prior to hire date.
- Must present proof of negative Tuberculosis skin test prior to beginning employment
- Completion of other required training (i.e. worker’s compensation, training against harassment, mandated reporter, etc.) when assigned.
