The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and qualified candidates for one full time Educational Student 1:1 Attendant position assigned to Berea Schools for the 2024-2025 school year.
(Special Needs) Position: Student Attendant

One year Classified employment contract: Grindstone Elementary School, first grade assignment (9:00am - 3:45pm)
Criminal background check and ODE educational aide permit required.

Duties: One on One Paraprofessional to assist a first grade student with a visual impairment to participate in the public school environment, movement/mobility and access the general education and special education services offered in a general education 1st grade classroom. Moving towards student independence. Training to be provided allowing 1:1 Attendant to assist in braille instruction and materials. Professional willingness from the Attendant to increase knowledge base and skill set with working with students with visual impairments and braille.
