Job Posting for ACT Instructor at Educational Testing Consultants
Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. is seeking contract instructors to teach ACT preparation classes to be held in partnership with St. Cloud State University. Successful candidates will possess proof of exceptional scores on standardized tests, previous teaching or public speaking experience, and a willingness to work weekdays in the summer. A bachelor’s degree is required.
Class sessions cover both math and verbal skills and are presented using PowerPoint modules in conjunction with associated textbooks and study aids. The PowerPoint course materials have been created by experienced test preparation instructors and former test item writers, so no curriculum development will be required with the position.
Contract instructors are typically offered 1-2 courses per year, with each course consisting of 16 face-to-face hours of classroom instruction. The pay rate begins at $40 per hour of instruction.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver instruction for an existing curriculum
- Keep and submit accurate attendance records
- Complete occasional online training
- No curriculum development is required
Qualifications:
- Experience with teaching or public speaking
- Exceptional standardized test scores
- Proficiency in both math and verbal skills tested on the ACT
- Bachelor’s Degree
