Job Details
A key member of the operations team, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the entire picking, packing, shipping and receiving processes in order to fill customer orders and meet carrier deadlines. The efficient processing of inbound shipments as well as outbound customer orders is essential to meeting and exceeding productivity standards that drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

Essential Functions of the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and/or communicate individual and team productivity goals. Monitor performance throughout the shift, week, etc. Proactively monitor and evaluate using established indicators. Report metrics to senior leadership to enable strategic planning.
- Direct the packing/picking team to process all orders to meet carrier pickup deadlines.
- Manage team performance through training, coaching, and counseling employees to meet or achieve company standards.
- Delegate work assignments to the appropriate team member(s) and ensuring successful completion based on established standards.
- Ensure, through leading, the processing of same-day expedited orders as determined by Operations Control.
- Use various communication and leadership styles (situational leadership) to motivate and encourage.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure proper staffing levels required to meet projected sales volumes.
- Lead team in a manner that promotes individual performance excellence by evaluating performance gaps, recommending training stretch projects, and other development activities.
- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement through the practice of Lean Principals.
- Monitor shift attendance and enforce the policy.
- Collaborate closely with the training manager and his/her team to efficiently onboard new employees to our culture and production standards.
- Continuously improve operations by removing obstacles to team and individual success.
Ensure team members follow safety programs, participate in safety training, and follow incident reporting guidelines.
