SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Adherence to Policies:
Must abide by the Eduro drug and alcohol policy.
Must maintain good personal hygiene and dress and groom appropriately.
Must show courtesy and respect to other employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, the general public, etc.
Participate in and respond professionally to surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies.
Report on time as scheduled and follow all company policies and procedures.
Attend staff meetings, in-service sessions as required.
Become thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures.
Must be able to perform assigned tasks in a timely fashion with minimum supervision.
Receptionist Duties include
Answer telephone, refer calls and take messages, as needed. Pass along a residents direct phone # to reduce the volume of calls which need to be forwarded. Do not allow personal employee calls unless it is a legitimate emergency.
Greet and direct visitors, welcome everyone to the facility.
Take and maintain minutes of all meetings as designated by supervisor.
Complete the incident log on a daily basis.
Maintain an up to date mailing list of responsible parties for all families of residents.
Facilitate the purchase of stamps as requested by employees, visitors, etc.
Re-order postage when needed.
Run errands (trips to laboratory, physicians offices, business office supplies, etc.) as necessary.
Ensure all outgoing mail is sent each day and incoming mail is directed to the appropriate department, resident, or personnel.
Type letters, reports, documents, statements, purchase orders, invoices, minutes of meetings, agendas, etc., as necessary or as directed.
Provide customer service support to residents, family members, visitors and staff.
Prepare New Hire/Orientation packets, as well as Admission packets.
Report complaints and grievances to supervisor and assist in solving problems.
Schedule IDT meetings in accordance with regulations. Maintain the IDT schedule to ensure compliance with regulations.
Ensure administrative supplies have been replenished in work areas, as necessary. Reorder new supplies, as needed and within the budget allocated. Document purchases made and ensure that expenses are limited to the budget allocated.
Assure that work area is always clean. Ensure that office area is properly secured before leaving on breaks, end of work day, etc.
Maintain a reference library of written material, laws, etc. necessary for complying with current standards and regulations.
Maintain manuals within facility. Develop forms as needed by each department and track revision dates of all forms used within facility.
Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when operating equipment, and report hazardous and defective equipment or conditions to your supervisor.
Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Administrator.
Patient Care:
Be personally involved with all aspects of resident care to the extent necessary to assess its quality.
Respect all resident rights, including the confidentiality of resident care information.
Report immediately to the proper legal authorities if you have reason to believe a resident has been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, or been a victim of theft of their personal property.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and love, giving the resident the quality of service you would want to receive personally. Reflect the four core values of Eduro Healthcare.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
High School Diploma
Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Certification or knowledge of computers/word processing preferred
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Bi-lingual skills welcome
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Completion of orientation required by company policy.
Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
Mandatory drug test upon hire.
Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
Work Environment
May be asked to work beyond normal working hours and must have flexibility and willingness to work holidays, etc.
Must work in an office and other areas of the facility as needed.
Work is subject to frequent interruptions.
Is subject to illness, diseases, and other health conditions present in the facility.
Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
