What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Manager, Workforce Planning & Sourcing position at Edward-Elmhurst Health?
The System Manager, Workforce Planning & Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing staffing plans around the organizations key positions. Creates and implements proactive talent sourcing strategies that produce talent pipelines needed for current and future business growth. Reporting to the VP of Talent Acquisition, this individual will play an integral role in ensuring the diversification of all talent pipelines to continually enrich the organization with creative ideas and broad perspectives.
Essential Job Functions
- Work with recruiting leaders to establish sourcing priorities that meet the organization’s strategy and staffing needs, which may fluctuate over time.
- Collaborate with and engage key stakeholders in planning, execution and monitoring of workforce plans to address staffing needs.
- Build, lead, coach and manage a team of dedicated sourcing specialists on the day-to-day execution of all sourcing assignments, focused around high-priority positions.
- Establish and standardize talent sourcing process, protocols, metrics, etc.
- Develop sourcing strategies that continually replenish the candidate pipeline based on market conditions and the needs of the business.
- Stay in tune with external talent market conditions
- Standardize sourcing tools and technologies, working with external vendors and internal partners to optimize impact for the organization.
- Hold sourcing specialists accountable to metrics and performance.
- Work as a liaison with marketing to effectively define and maximize recruitment branding opportunities. Creates recruitment branding campaigns and themes (i.e career paths, growth opportunities, unique benefits offerings, etc) to engage and attract talent to the organization.
- Partner with operational leaders to identify university and community partners that contribute to the company’s pipelining and sourcing efforts. In partnership with operational leaders, create a strategy to engage with these entities to strengthen relationships and outcomes.
- Work in partnership with the Senior Manager, HR People Analytics to regularly review and report on sourcing strategy outcomes. Analyze best practices and make recommendations to continue or discontinue efforts based on outcomes.
- Work in tandem with the organization’s DEI department to collaborate on opportunities to diversify the applicant pool.
- Develop meaningful and actionable plans and metrics to drive workforce decisions
- Provides ongoing analysis to key business stakeholders on both historical and real-time performance and trends
- Evaluates new vendor, technology and educational partnership opportunities to increase position pipelining.
Education, Experience & Licensure
Minimum Level of Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or other relevant field.
Minimum Length and Nature of Experience Required:
- A minimum of 7 years’ recruitment experience – focused on candidate sourcing and generation.
Special Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Proven knowledge and experience with advanced internet sourcing techniques including Boolean key search strings, advanced google commands, knowledge of candidate habits.
- Deep knowledge and experience with recruitment advertising partners such as really, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience with recruitment marketing technology and understanding related analytics.
- Knowledge of recruitment related technologies such as ATS, CRM, and other resource systems
- Proven leadership capabilities including hiring, training, mentoring and coaching direct reports
- A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple organizations in a fast paced environment
- Proven track record of developing and influencing recruiting best practices and implementation of those practices across client groups
- Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and supervisory skills
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of applicants, employees, leadership and vendors
- Effective presentation skills

Schedule: Full time, Days, 8am-5pm
Salary : $74,500 - $94,300
