Team Overview:
The Team Leader plans, directs, and leads a team of associates and contractors responsible for operation, regulatory compliance, support, development, security, quality, disaster recovery and implementation of technologies.
What You'll Do:
The Cloud Security Team Leader helps architect, deploy and operate a secure cloud infrastructure that meets the business needs. The position is responsible for supporting operational innovation and providing security direction to the business to elevate the company’s security posture within a cloud computing infrastructure. The Cloud Security Team Leader helps deliver applications at scale and with resiliency to support business initiatives. The individual is also expected to possess technical skills, and be knowledgeable about architecture, engineering and design principles. The Cloud Security Team Leader should be adept at dealing with disparate applications and data systems to maintain the level of rigor required to adhere to business direction. Along with depth of system coverage, the role requires planning and design of policies and maintenance.

- Lead a team of architects and security engineers, that will develop and maintain a secure and resilient enterprise-grade cloud solution.
- Secure business applications and computing environments across public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Protect business applications in compliance with privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks as defined in corporate policies.
- Deploy strong cloud identity and access management (IDAM) controls across applications and computing environments.
- Represent Security in all cloud project and implementation meetings, and serve as the security liaison to help guide secure application and infrastructure configurations.
- Recommend tactical and strategic initiatives based on new and emerging threats posing risk to cloud computing environments.
- Manage remediation efforts after security assessment findings outline weaknesses requiring attention.
- Enforce areas of security improvement that balance risk with business operations and do not diminish efficiencies or innovation.
- Manage cloud computing vendors relationships and solution providers to safeguard against undue risk presented by external entities.
- Stay apprised of current and proposed security changes impacting regulatory, privacy and security industry best practice guidance. Apply learned knowledge across key lines of business, including products, practices and procedures.
- Represent and attend in change and project management meetings.
- Align team activities, strategies, responsibilities and objectives with the firm’s strategic direction.
- Develop and execute on-going improvements for processes related to the team (e.g. resource management and support processes).
- Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.
- Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to associates through examples and timely feedback.
- Develop successors for key positions on their team.
- Ensure the execution and quality of enhancements, support and projects.
- Understanding of the team's systems, processes and technologies. Manages and develops self while internalizing leadership feedback.
- Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across teams, departments, countries, vendors and other divisions.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors while aligning to the firms objectives.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or related work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to Information Systems technology with at least 1 year in a leadership role (mentoring associates, lead analyst, project leaders, etc.) preferred.
- Required understanding of technologies related to or dependent on the teams systems.
- Knowledge of business system interactions, infrastructure dependencies, system controls, monitoring, etc.
- Understanding of system development methodologies.
