The Product Leader, Banking-Cash Products will be responsible for leading several strategic initiatives for the firm. This strategic product leader will partner across the organization to develop strategy and roadmaps, create new products and solutions, and drive adoption across both Advisor and Digital channels.

The Banking Products department is responsible for delivering high-quality saving, spending and borrowing solutions, tools and experiences that reflect client needs and are aligned with the firm's advice and guidance.

From setting the product/experience strategy, developing the business case to designing product features and working with our communications teams, your work will impact potentially all 7 million clients and branch teams. Responsibility Summary:
  • Work closely with Senior Product Leader and/or General Partner to create and execute the firm's Cash Savings and Spending Experience product strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products, tools and the support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Design, develop and manage innovative cash accounts and tools that align with firm advice and guidance, are simple/easy to use and are market parity (or better) to industry available options. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including branch teams, to lead the development and delivery of these offerings to clients and branch teams. Determine the data, insights and analysis needed to inform product strategy and development. Develop an informed perspective for what the Edward Jones product experience should be and the tangible recommendations for how to get there.
  • Responsible for working with internal and external partners to plan, design and deliver cash experience products, tools and services.
    • Manage and maintain the portfolio of products including making recommendations to add, remove, or change products/offerings and/or vendor partners as needed. Manage vendor partner relationships of significant size, impact and criticality to the client and branch experience.
    • Shape and drive execution of business plans that align with the firm's strategic direction
    • Ensure that product marketing and change management support is effective, aligned with key firm messages, and compliant. Assist in the design of efficient and effective ongoing processes and controls.
    • Ensure that client and branch team service support is effective and resolve issues as needed
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate Cash solutions and tools into existing client and branch systems, creating an enjoyable experience for clients and branch teams
    • Resolve complex / broad issues as escalated. Determine root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurrences.
    • Regularly interface with product partner and industry peer contacts (Eg. key account managers, product managers, national sales managers, and operational leaders)
    • Assist in the coordination and alignment of relationship management activities above across all product partners
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Cash product line for the firm. Includes advanced knowledge of multiple product partner products, features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
  • Understand and interpret rules and potential rule changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line; make recommendations that help shape the firm position with respect to tax, legal and regulatory issues for these products/programs.
  • Leads significant additional responsibilities specific to the team or area (Eg. recruiting, training, product partner coordination, wholesaler effectiveness)
  • Lead broad division, firm, or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy (Eg. cross-divisional projects, internal committees, product partner events, regional events, industry groups, etc.)
  • Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and effectiveness of the product line while minimizing risk to clients and the firm.
  • Mentor team members and assist in the ongoing development of their subject matter expertise.
Qualifications Required in the Job:
  • 7 years of relevant financial services experience, cash management experience preferred or 7 years of related experience such as product development, product management, client experience strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree required with preferred disciplines (E.g. business, finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
  • Series 7, 66 required within 12 months of hire.
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant industry designation(s) preferred.
Functional Knowledge:
  • Deep subject matter expertise in product line products preferred

  • Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office, Tableau and databases
