Estimator

Edward L. Myers, Inc. is a locally based commercial painting contractor based in Findlay, OH. We are looking for a full time Construction Estimator with knowledge of estimating in the scopes of painting, finishing, epoxy flooring, wallcoverings and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate labor and material takeoff quantities, including bid documents and proposals in compliance with project specifications
• Maintain detailed, organized records of all project related documents (bids, correspondence etc.)
• Provide support and assistance in the generation of material estimates and/or material orders
• Work closely with project manager to insure contract profitability
• Develop professional relationships with customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Related Study
• 2 years of professional construction and/or estimation experience
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, CAD skills, with strong geometry & math skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills & conduct themselves professionally
• Strong working knowledge of Onscreen Takeoff, Microsoft Office and knowledge of PlanSwift (plus)
• Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed take-offs and estimates
• Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, phones, and prioritize workload & work with minimal supervision

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
