Job Description:

EEtility is seeking a team member who is a self-motivated, hardworking, and ready and eager to support the fight in energy/resource efficiency. EEtility’s Field Energy Auditors are responsible for identifying, measuring, and assessing opportunities to reduce energy use at residential buildings. They are required to travel to pre-scheduled appointments and conduct in-the-filed work completing residential building assessments for assigned program. The position frequently interacts with contractors, program participants, and energy analyst to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

(This list is not inclusive and subject to variation based on Program and Project needs)

· Conduct energy efficiency assessments; interact with participants, perform comprehensive assessment of residence, and conduct energy usage data analysis with provided softwareTravel to multiple pre-scheduled appointments daily

· Assess HVAC systems and insulation; likely required to enter attics, basements, and crawl spaces

· Conduct blower door testing, combustion safety testing, and HVAC duct testing

· Ensure individual quality control and cleanliness in each assessment

· Install energy efficient light bulbs and water-efficient devices

· Collect, track, photograph and submit all data into multiple platforms

· Interact with participants and represent EEtility and the program in a professional manner

· Collaborate internally and externally through all phase of the assessment

· Perform regular vehicle safety inspections and ensure regular maintenance is conducted

Position Requirements and Needs

· High School diploma or GED

· Must have a valid driver’s license with no major driving violation (i.e. DUI/DWI, reckless driving)

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check

· Experienced and comfortable utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

· Experience in blower door and HVAC duct testing procedures

· Experience with energy efficiency and weatherization residential upgrades

· Two years home energy auditing experience or similar (preferred)

· Two years of energy efficiency and weatherization related experience (preferred)

· Certified BPI Building Analyst (preferred)

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Strong data entry skills

· Able to work and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands and Position Administrative Requirements

· Required to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces

· Required to sit, stand and walk

· Able to Life up to 40 pounds

· Employee could be exposed to dust, debris, fumes, and/or airborne particles

· This position travels within assigned area 95% of the time

· This position is subject to an initial and continued random drug screening test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.19 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
EEtility will provide data collectors with protective equipment (which include coveralls, booties, and face coverings) in order to mitigate risk.
