Description: The Core Developer will be a member of the Modeling & Technology team in core technology and work closely with key stakeholders from the investment, research, and trading teams. This person will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the fundamental components of the firm's proprietary technology. The Core Developer will report to the Co-Head of Technology and be based in NYC.
Responsibilities: As part of a small team, the Core Developer will work on development projects through all phases, including specification, design, testing, integration, and maintenance. The candidate would be responsible for a wide range of software development projects, covering data analysis, trading and execution tools, and risk infrastructure. As examples, potential projects could include:
Design and implement risk or relative value tools and infrastructure that is integral to the process of the investment team.
Design and implement infrastructure to support systematic or semi-systematic trading efforts.
Update and enhance our automated execution and resulting workflows through custom built software and integrating with our EMS/OMS.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of relevant development experience in finance, technology, or fintech industries with evidence of stellar performance in prior roles.
Excellent programming and architecture skills in .Net, C# (or similar) and SQL.
Strong project management skills, able to take ownership from conception through full integration.
Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work on "full-stack" - both data and back-end services as well as front ends
Familiarity with financial products including basic options and greeks as well as experience building and maintaining pricing/risk infrastructure is a plus.
Experience with front-end JavaScript technologies such as Vue and/or React is a plus.
