What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Supervisor position at EFP, LLC?
Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule. They will also train and coach team members as needed.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Attendance is a very crucial element of this position
- Obtain knowledge of part numbers and material usage for customer orders
- Create schedule for Kitting and Gel department and Fabrication Machines by priority, for all shifts
- Assure production quantities are met before next customer order is started
- Provide coaching and leadership to hourly team members when needed
- Hours must be flexible to set production schedule
- Must have good communication skills
- All other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business or related field or 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience with computerized order processing systems required.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and management
- Thorough understanding of scheduling.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Computer skill, including intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- 40 hours weekly, Reading, Writing and Mathmatical Skills are essential
