Position Summary
Oversee and operates machines in a clean room environment, maintains clean room processes and procedures along with Safety and Quality manufacturing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operates machinery and packs parts to meet quality and production standards. This may include a group of machines or a single manually attended machine.
Works with Set-up personnel and Process Technicians to maintain production schedules and customer delivery dates.
Works with other operators to maintain and improve the working environment. Can recommend changes and improvements to procedures and processes that would benefit the company.
Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production activities such as problems encountered and/or machines that they have been assigned and are responsible for. Maintain detailed records as described in SOPs and other job specific procedures
Takes training from Supervisor, Set-up personnel and Process Technicians to enhance knowledge and experience in all aspects of the operation.
Works with the Quality department personnel to be sure they understand and maintain current quality standards.
Responsible for the housekeeping and safety of their work areas.
Flexible and able to work in all areas assigned to meet customer requirements.
Strict adherence to cGMP standards and clean room operating procedures and pass/maintain training requirements for Excelsior, Karma, Periscope and other clean room specific products.
Attend to all levels of sophisticated automation, troubleshoot common problems with that and be able to stop, restart automation and/or molding machinery.
Communicate problems to other team members during cross over meetings.
Capable of working in non-clean room manufacturing environment based on production needs
Has passed competency test for one of three areas. Karma, Periscope or Excelsior.

Required Competencies, Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Prior Plastics Injection Molding experience preferred
- Ability to learn and display an understanding of quality, safety and process knowledge
- Capable of working with team members as needed

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated
Education and Job Experience Requirements
- Previous clean room experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Standing for long periods of time
- Moderate continuous lifting, pushing, pulling
- Reaching overhead
- Subject to high noise levels from operating machines
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
