What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher position at Eightfold?
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a child-related field; or related field
- Associate's degree with 90 credits currently enrolled in school
- Hold an Associate’s degree with a commitment to obtain NY State Early Childhood teacher certification within seven years of employment.
- Plans organize and execute daycare curriculum, lesson plans, procedures, and documents accordingly.
- Implement curriculum to provide positive learning experiences for children.
- Supervisor Assistant Teacher, teacher aide, and volunteers
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff development training/workshops
- Participate in the planning and implementation of field trips.
- Maintain a cooperative, professional relationship with all staff, parents/guardians, funding sources, and volunteers/trainees.
- Prepare and conduct in parent-teacher conferences
- Implements good safety practices in and outside of the classroom
- Conduct bi-monthly written observations of children and communicate any concerns to the Director.
- Assess the developmental needs of the children on a timely basis and plan activities to meet their individual needs.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
