Outside Sales Representative, Science

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct outside sales activities to generate new business and meet sales targets
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Utilize sales techniques to negotiate and close deals effectively
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to tailor sales strategies
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve collective goals
• Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools for efficient sales management
• Organize and conduct demonstrations to highlight the benefits and features of our products

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in customer service and sales roles
• Strong business development skills with a focus on technical sales
• Proficiency in analyzing market data and trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a drive to succeed in a competitive sales environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
• Demonstrated success in B2B sales, ideally within the scientific equipment sector.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Capable of working autonomously and managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
• A genuine passion for science education and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Typically works in an office with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

• Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
• A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
• Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 25 lbs.
• Will be required to assist in other areas from time to time, including but not limited to order fulfillment, packing and shipping.
