What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability and Planning Super position at EJ?
Utilize a variety of Predictive Maintenance tools such as vibration monitoring, ultra-sound, infrared, and oil analysis to predict possible equipment failure so that the equipment can be repaired prior to failure. Work with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment to operate with a high standard of reliability. This position is responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems; as well as overseeing the Maintenance Planning department at Ardmore Foundry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Management of PM's and PdM arena's. PdM (predictive maintenance) would include vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis, infra-red, laser alignment, and lubrication.
- Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
- Systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines an asset maintenance performance plan.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include the capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility, the reliability engineer applies: Statistical process control, Reliability modeling and protection, Fault tree analysis, Weibull analysis, and Six Sigma methodology.
- Works with production to perform analyses of assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life and other parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and cost of assets.
- Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.
- Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
- Oversee Maintenance Planning Staff at Ardmore Facility.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the work of the Maintenance Planner and Reliability Technicians on various shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, engineering field preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, ratios, percent's, rates, rates of change. Ability to apply concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, physics, and statistics.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Level 1 ultra-sound certification.
Level 1 vibration monitoring certification.
Level 1 lubrication certification.
