IT Technician, Professional Services

EK Computer Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate for the role of IT Technician for our Professional Services team. Our professional services team is responsible for the new installation of core IT infrastructure such as switches, routers, and servers as guided by the project manager. The Professional Services technician is also responsible for documenting the environments of new clients, advising alignment strategies, and working closely with other team members to bring the best IT experience to the users. Job requirements are not final and may change based on the experience of the candidate. Below are the basic job requirements and skills needed to perform the necessary tasks.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist with the configuration and installation of new core IT infrastructure such as switches, servers, firewalls, and cloud services.
• Communicate with clients to schedule installation dates and coordinate downtime.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation as you progress through each job.
• Assist with new client on-boardings and update documentation.
• Provide hands-on support with other team members with cable jobs, including running Cat6 or Fiber, mounting wireless access points, and assembling network cabinets.
• Conduct a professional manner with our clients when interacting face to face, over a phone call, or using email.
• Provide assistance to other Technicians and Engineers as situations arise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
