Advise on eye health: Educate patients on proper eye care practices and recommend treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: Work with opticians, ophthalmologists, and primary care doctors.
Stay updated on industry trends: Attend trainings and conferences to keep abreast of advancements in eye care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in optometry or a related field such as biology, chemistry, or pre-optometry studies.
Completion of a Doctor of Optometry (OD) program from an accredited institution.
Participate in clinical rotations/internships to gain hands-on experience.
Continuous education to stay updated on new advancements and technologies in the field.
