Summary
- Department: Stepdown Intermediate Care
- Shift Timings: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours. Monday to friday (3 days/12 Hours)
- Per Week: 36 Hours
- Unit Capacity: 24 Beds Population Served: Pre and post heart transplant, LVAD therapy, permanent device therapy, unstable arrhythmias, advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, pre and post cardiac surgery and other related cardiac disorders. Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60 ) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 5:1
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with healthcare team members.
Minimum QualificationsLooking for highly motivated nurses to help with this PCU Heart Failure Unit. You will care for a variety of heart transplant and VAD patients. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
