Security officer positions may require you to perform the following regularly during a shift:
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Reach over your head with 10-25 lb loads

Position: Site Supervisor
Location: Leeds, Alabama
Employment Type: Full-time
Description: Unarmed security position providing fixed and roving patrol security for a client site. Shifts vary.
Site Supervisors are the front-line management representatives of EKG Security for clients. He/she must have expertise and experience with scheduling, site personnel management and decisions, development of post orders, training of subordinates, proper communication with management and proper client management. The Site Supervisor is primarily responsible as EKG Security's direct representative to its client with efficient security operations.
Responsibilities include:
- professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services at a client site
- perform duties as a first shift security officar at site (if applicable)
- oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers assigned to site
- ensure personnel are on-site at the client's location when required and assume shift if the scheduled officer is absent for any reason
- ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met
- maintain overtime below 5% of overall billable hours
- ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and job performance
- perform other operations-related functions (payroll, incident reports, uniforms, fleet vehicles, preparation of security surveys and post orders)
- all requirements of a Basic Security Officer and Senior Security Officer
- recommend positive and negative personnel actions for subordinates
- communicate with EKG management to ensure they are apprised of all noteworthy items at site
- respond to management voicemail, email, etc timely (within 24 hours)
- respond to client requests and manage client relationship
- other tasks as assigned
Expectations include one or more of the following essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation:

use a computer or tablet with basic competence to include:
- Guard tour system
- Camera monitoring system.
- E-mail program – being able to compose and read e-mails.
- patrolling the client’s facility (length and period to be determined by client)
- control access to the client facility (foot and vehicle traffic)
- stand for long periods of time sometimes in excess of eight hours
- work outside in a variety of weather conditions depending on the assignment
Required Experience, Education & Licenses:
- Associates Degree (or higher) in any discipline
- pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
- possess a driver’s license

have one or more of the following:
- Active, Reserve or National Guard service (any branch)
- Auxilary Police or Police Cadet service
- meaningful and verifiable work history
- minimim 2 years verifiable security experience in a healthcare setting

- ability to utilize client monitoring equipment (guard tour, badges, cameras)

Additional requirements
- must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the State
- must be a US citizen or foreign citizen authorized to legaly work in the United States
- must not use illegal drugs
- must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
- must be able to perform duties as a first shift security officer and work that shift with at least 95% reliability
