What are the responsibilities and job description for the CalWORKs Case Manager position at El Concilio?
El Concilio is seeking to fulfill the position of a Case Manager within our CalWORKs program at our Manteca office location. This position entails assisting families who have applied for public benefits, and have been determined eligible by the County to participate in the Welfare to Work program. Case Manager will scaffold transitioning clients from public assistance to gainful employment. This position requires a Case Manager to be detail orientated as far as completed documentation, scheduling meetings with clients, and tracking participation. The Case Manager shall become familiar with CalWORKs Manteca program guidelines and requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining a caseload based on program objectives. This position will require the Case Manager to contact outside resources and providers to validate client and confirm status of client participation. Per our home visit procedures, the Case Managers will occasionally conduct home visitations to retain program engagement.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Requirements: Background Check, Health Records/Immunizations, Valid Driver's License.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Social Science or related discipline with 1-3 years in a related field is highly preferred; or an Associates Degree in a related field with 2-4 years of experience; or a High School Diploma with 3-5 years of experience in Case Management is required in lieu of a degree.
