POSITION: Child Development Site Supervisor
POSITON STATUS: Full-time/Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Child Development Site Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Child Development Program Director. The Site Supervisor will supervise program staff and will be responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy and inviting learning environment for children, parents and staff. The Site Supervisor will ensure the smooth operation of the licensed child development facility in compliance with Community Care Licensing, California Department of Education and all applicable health and safety regulations. Maintain all required records on children, parents and staff and confidentiality regarding such records. The Site Supervisor will assist Director in ensuring compliance with all contracts funding sources, and personnel policies and procedures. Assist Director with fiscal management and record keeping. Ensure the implementation of program goals and activities. Coordinate team building and support staff in implementing quality services. Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and enrollment of families. Assist in the hiring, work schedules and disciplinary action recommendations. Maintain communication with Child Development Program Director, staff and parents.
The Site Supervisor will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Meet requirements described in Community Care Licensing. Maintain First Aid and CPR certification. Must possess skills to work independently and on a team, communicate effectively orally and in writing in English. Experience working with Cultural sensitivity required; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly desirable.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California Drivers License. Must submit to and pass a drug test, health screening report and a criminal background clearance as a pre-employment condition. Maintain requirements as per funding source.
Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, TDAP, MMR, Influenza (Flu) & a recent TB Test/Chest X-rays.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA or higher with a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. OR an AA in Child Development with a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. Five (5) years of experience in early child development program and financial administration. Experience working with Exceptional Needs children preferred.
