Director of Engineering

Elation is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead teams of passionate engineers who are committed to making our providers' lives easier. As a leader at Elation, you will contribute to the company's success by growing the engineering team, ensuring effective execution of our projects, and aligning engineering activities to company objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead strategy and execution of a product suite designed to reduce administrative overhead for medical practices, increase their operational efficiency, and ensure they are paid fairly and timely.
• Build and manage teams of exceptional, empowered, and results-driven engineers.
• Partner with Product, Design, and customer-facing teams to identify and address customer needs and business growth opportunities.
• Use KPIs and metrics to drive product success, engineering productivity, and software quality.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement in the team's code, architecture, and processes
• Provide mentorship to help individual engineers grow in their careers and maximize their impact
• Work alongside technical leads to provide technical guidance and manage execution

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of management experience, including managing managers
• 5 years experience as a software engineer.
• Strong engineering background in modern web application development and knowledge of best practices
• Track record of building, growing, and mentoring multiple high performing teams
• Passionate about solving business problems through technical solutions and strong collaboration with business stakeholders
• Experience using data to drive successful outcomes and greater operational efficiency
• Thrives in a highly iterative, growth focused environment
• Strong sense of ownership and impact on company success

Preferred Experience:

• Experience building products on public cloud infrastructure, especially AWS
• Familiarity with Continuous delivery practices
• Track record of operating at technical and organizational scale.
• Experience developing strategic programs, durable roadmaps, and technical ROI cases
