Vice President of Finance

Elder Care Homecare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our company's leadership team. We are a private pay homecare agency servicing Westchester County, Long Island, and the NY Metro Area, with additional expansion planned within the next year.

Elder Care has been in operation for over seven years, however our growth has dramatically increased over the last two. The ideal candidate will have helped an organization scale previously, and has worked with a company that has between 100 and 250 employees before. This role is a hybrid opportunity - this person will need to be on-site 3 days a week, with the ability to travel between our different locations a few times a month. This position reports directly to the COO.

As the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. You will work closely with other department heads assisting in implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures that support Elder Care Homecare's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance at a growing organization, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team to achieve financial objectives. Responsibilities:

• Manage staff (Assistant Controller, Billing Clerk, Payroll Clerk, and 2 Remote Accountants)
• Responsible for participating in the hiring process, supervision, training, and evaluation of all assigned staff.
• Reviews and oversees daily, monthly, and annual financial transactions, including all financial statements.
• Developing the company’s annual financial plans and projections
• Responsible for overseeing the company's tax submission and accounting team
• Oversee cost analysis of existing and new services, including preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial and statistical data.
• Responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the cost accounting system.
• Develop and implement company-wide financial best practices
• Manage accounting personnel and provide ongoing training
• Financial forecasting and planning
• Budgeting per the requirements of individual company departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8 years of experience in accounting or finance
• CPA preferred but not required
• Strong leadership, technology, analytical, and communication skills
• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

Compensation Range: $160,000-$180,000
