What you will do:
As a Chemist on the Hydrometallurgy team, you will focus on developing new approaches and refining process steps for converting iron-containing ores into solutions suitable for electroplating. The majority of your time will be spent in the lab performing experiments and characterizing products and raw materials. In this role you will:
- Design, setup, and perform novel experiments to test and define new process steps
- Perform standardized bench-scale experiments to evaluate materials and process parameters
- Use analytical tools such as ICP-OES, SEM, XRD, TGA etc.
- Analyze lab data to reach conclusions and provide answers to key questions
- Summarize and present experimental results clearly and concisely to other team members
- Support general lab operations and maintenance as needed
What we need you to bring to the team:
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mining or metallurgical engineering, or related field
- 1 year of experience developing chemical processes in a laboratory environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze experimental data, reach conclusions, and communicate results
- The ability to troubleshoot chemical processing equipment and experiments
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as needed
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
