Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and practices for manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support on inspections and quality tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Analyze and interpret statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality objectives.
- Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with production, engineering, and other teams.
- Monitor compliance with quality standards and procedures, including ISO, nuclear, and other standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document and report quality assurance activities, test results, and process nonconformances through the DMR and RMA systems.
- Train and support production personnel in quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
- Oversee gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
- Stay updated on industry standards and developments in quality assurance techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of metrology and GD&T.
- Experience with quality assurance techniques and tools (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, APQP).
- Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Auditor).
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AMSE NQA-1).
