Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for a Vice President, Information Technology to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an on-site position.


Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading high-performing IT teams with substantial hands-on experience in IT systems, infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (like Power BI, Tableau) and data frameworks
  • Experience leading large ERP implementations within a manufacturing environment

About the Position:

ECI is seeking a VP of Information Technology (“VP IT”) to join the team in Southfield, MI, and report directly to the CEO.This position is responsible for leading the organization’s Information Technology function and building and managing the infrastructure, manufacturing technologies, data, and systems delivery that will help ECI achieve its business goals.


Duties Include:

  • Define the vision of security awareness and delivery for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation of security measures to safeguard against evolving cyber security threats.
  • Participate in strategic, commercial, and operational decisions as a senior management team member and lead technology initiatives directly linked to the company’s overall strategy.
  • Act as a business partner by educating and providing technological insight and advice to improve business profitability, market share and productivity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and build/maintain relationships with C-level executives and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
  • Create synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Lead the modernization, architecture, and design of all critical ERP processes across finance, manufacturing, and supply chain, along with the deployment of enterprise-wide IT systems, infrastructure, and IT services, effectuating a flexible IT architecture and cost structure.
  • Integrate the IT and business strategy to achieve company goals by fostering innovation, properly organizing teams, and directing the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technology solutions across the organization.
  • Determine the appropriate internal and external IT team/vendors to support business objectives by implementing an effective IT organizational structure, goals & operating process.
  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective financial investment in IT solutions, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and development.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT to ensure it is consistent with the enterprise's overall strategic objectives and plan.
  • Implement enterprise-wide security, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Adeptly negotiate a wide array of technology services and contracts across multiple IT vendors.
  • Develop and attract talented business and technology professionals and delegate significant responsibilities to team members and hold them accountable.
  • Establish and document effective and updated IT policies & procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and operational excellence.
  • Forge strong service oriented teams and engage the team through enthusiasm and excitement about the business.


Qualifications:
