Right-of-Way Agent

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages through 765 kV.

ECI has immediate openings for Real Estate Specialists for a project in Eastern Wyoming. This is a temporary position that will last the duration of the project. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Negotiating with landowners and public agencies for the purchase of land and land rights.
• May be called upon to fill the role of Lead Project Agent assisting and directing the activities of other Right-of-Way staff or to act as a Project Manager in the successful planning, execution and delivery of right-of-way projects.
• Serving as an effective member of an external project team member composed of professionals including attorney, appraisers, title company staff, construction staff and client representatives taking the lead role.
• Performing/directing the technical tasks in the areas of document preparation, legal descriptions, property valuation, land records research & verification, negotiation & acquisition, damage settlement & resolution.

Minimum Requirements: BS degree (engineering, business, economic or related field) or 5 years' experience in the real estate, title, right of way, appraisal or telecommunication industries; (minimum of 3 of these years in the acquisition/negotiation functions preferred); professional certificates/licenses in appropriate field: Senior Right-of-Way Agent (SR/WA) is highly desired and other appropriate certificates/licenses including the fields of Right-of-Way Engineering, Relocation Assistance, Land Titles or Real Estate Appraisal. Solid understanding of real estate terms and principles. Thorough understanding of government permitting processes including Native American Tribal Lands. Demonstrated proficiency in various software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Project Management and/or database). The successful candidate is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements and must have a clean driving record.
