Messina Group seeks an Electronic Technician for our client, a major manufacturer of automated electromechanical devices. Their team environment is one of continuous blending of mechanical devices, controls, and software merging into automated machinery that can be leveraged by commercial laundries to optimize processes and reduce labor costs. The role offers a fast-paced work environment in the heart of Chicago along with competitive compensation and benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Part of the controls team covering all aspects of support
Supporting and streamlining manufacturing and testing processes
Assist in maintaining support documentation for manufacturing and testing
New equipment designs installation and support.
Ability to blend various requirements

Duration: Contract to Hire
Position Qualifications:
Tech degree in electronics field or equivalent experience
Configuration/Testing/Debugging of x86(atom)-based machine controls
Production testing of microcontroller(8051)-based open-board controls
Maintenance and Design of test fixtures
PCB design & layout (Eagle-cad,Autocad)
Mechanical Aptitude (use of hand tools and grasp of basic physics)
