Registered Dental Assistant
Summary
We are looking for the registered dental assistants who can have upbeat, team approach, organized and cheerful attitude with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
The ideal candidate is to coordinate the DA to fulfill the daily patients and to maintain, organize the back records. The ideal candidate should have minimum 2-year experience RDA, bilingual preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Break down, clean rooms and general areas after patient and before closing time. Set room up according to Doctor's preference, Display X-rays on the computer screen for the Doctor prior to the exam, Annotate the treatment plan in the system while the Doctor performs the exam, charting
2- Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. Further explain treatment or answer questions concerning treatment. Gain the trust of the parent. Establish rapport necessary to gain the consent of the parent to perform the procedure
3- The main responsibility of the assistant is to remain with the Doctor as he moves from patient to patient. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Assist the doctor during exams and treatment:
- 1- Help a doctor during treatments.
- 2- Handle all patient behavior management. Calm and reassure the patient during the procedures
- 3- Fabricate, adjust and place temporary crowns under the supervision and direction of the doctor. Take an impression for a crown and bridge and dentures; Pour cast, record lab slip and pack before send to the lab.
- 4- Perform Coronal Polishing and application of Fluoride treatment (Certification required)
- 5- Sealant certificate is a plus.
- 6- Follow doctors to perhaps present treatment plan.
- 7- Perform or assign, follow and confirm staffs to do test daily, weekly, monthly quarterly and yearly maintenance on all equipment.
- Coordinate office staffs to smooth the flow of patients.
Qualifications:
- ** Dentrix and Dexis system experience
- ** Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Minimum 2 years.
- ** CPR AHA certificate and AED training is a MUST
- ** Nitrous Oxide Monitoring is the MUST within 180 days of hire or appointment to that position
- ** Bilingual (English and/or Spanish) is a PLUS Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA)
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour 10 hour shift, 8 hour shift
Experience:

- Detailing on job is required.
