What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Director position at Element Church?
Position Summary
This position will lead the Creative Arts Department as well as the Creative Process. The tools that the Creative Director will inherit are world class. The style of the Element experience is current, vibrant and engaging. There is a strong value in creating weekend experiences where God’s Word is taught in a way that is practicable and relevant and that the worship culture is engaging, authentic and dynamic. The right next leader will need to be an established, winning coach. Someone deeply integrated and experienced in the creative production process from initial vision casting, through development to final implementation and execution.
Expectations:
An Executive Producer – The ideal candidate will be someone who sees the big picture clearly. They will have a deep understanding of the systems, processes and personnel it takes to execute a world class creative experience and maintain a current, vibrant brand.
A Creative Veteran – The ideal candidate will be someone who has been doing it at a very high level for a very long time. They have spent significant time leading in a context of similar size and scope. The value of experience cannot be overstated for this role. Ministry experience is a bonus!
A Cultural Sponge – The ideal candidate will be someone who has their pulse on the culture of today. They will also tend to think outside of the box and not be afraid to approach ministry in a way that will be sure to resonate with the world we live in.
A Decisive Leader – The ideal candidate will be someone who makes decisions in a timely manner that reflects the vision values of the organization. They will design clear courses of action and implement steps with measurable goals that move the creative team forward.
A Strategic Thinker – The ideal candidate will be someone who brings immense insight and value to the Executive Leadership team at Element Church. They will have the ability to see outside of their own silo and speak into the global ministry integration of the organization at large.
A Creative’s Leader – The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team builder and proven mentor to creatives of all disciplines. They will have the ability to pull the most out of their personnel while also creating an environment that builds consensus, symmetry, and integration across the team.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 or more years’ experience in the creative arts space
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly called, passionate about leading creatives
- Strong creative ideation and leadership development
- Desire and ability to build community and a culture of servant hood within the team
- Ability to train, develop, and cast vision under the direction of the Executive Team to team members and any volunteers.
- Knowledge of modern office methods including computer use, email, telephone, and office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, knowledge of proper English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite, HTML, Rock Database, and Microsoft Teams.
- Exhibits good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
