As the Technical Engagement Consultant, you will be responsible to directly support the client engagement team and indirectly, the modeling and analytics team. This role responds to the short term/immediate technical needs of the client engagement team and will work in both an instructional (training the consultants on simple technical solutions) and model-development capacity (transforming customer requests and concepts into live, working, actionable, and scalable models).
A Day in the Life
Collaborate with internal customers / consultants to provide immediate technical solutions to customer questions/requests.
Lead technical components of Engagement Modeling Team, from discovery to design.
Liaise with Analytics team & data science teams.
Write/conduct advanced computations and datasets / DAX queries.
Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
Build VB prototypes and small-scale applications, along with VBA scripts, to automate Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
Create and optimize database queries, database objects (e.g., tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, etc.)
Continuously learn new tools to enhance solutions for the client engagement team.
Requirements
3-5 years business experience/technical experience (data-specific)
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in technical field Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, etc.) or Technical certifications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft BI Stack
Strong data analytics skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
Proven track record of improving efficiency through customization
