What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Superintendent position at Element2 Group?
Element2 is looking for a contract Site Superintendent for a 14 week project!
Responsible for the supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents. Our Superintendent directs the day-to-day work of field staff and the subcontractors and displays the ability to lead while maintaining fiscal responsibility, quality assurance, quality control and morale of the project team.
Essential functions:
- Comply with OSHA requirements and company safety program to create and maintain a safe workplace.
- Know and understand the plans, specifications and contract requirements.
- Participate in the preparation of a detailed construction schedule in conjunction with the Project team.
- Participate in the monthly pencil requisition review process with the Project Manager.
- Understand all subcontract scopes.
- Understand the budget and have fiscal responsibility for job site expenditures.
- Supervise and direct field staff and supervisors under his/her command using best practices and with the continued goal of developing others.
- Ensure that subcontractors maintain adequate forces to execute the work in accordance with the schedule requirements. Measure the daily productivity of subcontractors with regard to attaining schedule milestones.
- Initiate adequate procedures and control for tool and materials security; Plan jobsite security.
- Regularly conduct onsite meetings with field staff and subcontractors
- Actively involved in the management of M/E/P coordination meetings.
- Maintain comprehensive logistics plan that incorporates phasing/access/ temporary heat/security/trash removal/utilities.
- Initialize punch process and work within company standards to properly turn over areas.
- Prompt 3rd party report close out.
- Display ability to be proactive and problem solving with a solution based attitude; partnering in risky situations, not procrastinating.
Required education and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of trades
- 30 hour OSHA training, not requited but preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of advanced functions of Word, Excel, Outlook and other web-based applications

Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
