Job Summary
As a Software QA Engineer (Playwright) at Elements Connect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products through automated and manual testing using Playwright and other tools. You will work closely with our development and quality assurance teams to create, maintain, and execute test cases, as well as contribute to the overall test process.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create test plans and test cases, including both automated and manual tests.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications, including web and mobile platforms.
- Execute automated tests to identify defects, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct manual testing to explore different usage scenarios, identify edge cases, and evaluate the user experience.
- Report, track, and manage defects using bug tracking tools and work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve and expand the test suite to cover new features and scenarios.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss test progress and provide feedback on product quality.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of testing processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
Requirements
- 5 years of QA engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
- Strong proficiency in Playwright, including writing and maintaining Playwright scripts.
- Knowledge of web technologies, browsers, and web application architectures.
- Experience with manual testing and exploratory testing.
- Experience with bug tracking tools and test management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of other test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
