Description: The role of the Operations Manager is to participate in the preparation, implementation, and final resolution of all activities as it pertains to company field operations. The Operations Manager leads, motivates, and supports the field teams to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue growth, profit growth, management development, and staff development. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction
  • Minimum 5 years of management and/or business operations
  • High school diploma/GED
  • IICRC or equivalent Industry certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Passion for serving people well (including clients, coworkers, vendors, and partners)
  • Well organized with an acute attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Proactive in seeing problems or issues in advance and working to resolve them in a timely manner
  • Software and technology proficiency needed, including the use of Google for Business platform (email, calendar), and integrations for time tracking, project task completion, expense reporting, etc.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Demonstrates understanding of concepts, software, techniques, etc. necessary to accomplish job duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and management skills
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am to 5 pm, and some weekends.
  • Bilingual fluency in Technical English and Conversational Spanish is a plus.

Roles and Duties:

Team Leadership

  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and provides recommendations on employment offers in coordination with human resources
  • Manage daily operations of the restoration, cleaning, and mitigation activities
  • Oversee consumable inventories and generate order lists for owners review and approval
  • Ensure two-way communication with the between sales and projects departments
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with individual team members
  • Ensure employee compliance with all Company policies
  • Attendance and punctuality consistently maintained
  • Follows accurate procedure for requesting time off and notifying management of time off
  • Manages stress, conflict, and frustration in a constructive manner
  • Assists project managers with budgeting and job costing
  • Reviews work orders to ensure direction corresponds to efficient completion of the scope of work
  • Communicates expectations and order of operations of planned mitigation/remediation activities to personnel and oversees their activities
  • Ensures quality control inspections are performed throughout the duration of projects and takes corrective actions as necessary
  • Creates and maintains a project timeline with management team
  • Maintains constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Ensures daily dispatch and management team meetings are conducted
  • Conducts weekly project schedule meetings with management and sales team
  • Continues development of leadership and management skills, as well as restoration expertise

Office Administration

  • Uses work time appropriately for job responsibilities
  • Be familiar with and able to execute all roles and responsibilities
  • Maintains well-organized physical and digital records, documentation, and workspace
  • Reviews data quality control and budget/margin analysis on all job files
  • Adheres to departmental budgets established by the owners
  • Ensures assigned restoration staff accurately records time and approves all assigned staff time cards each payroll period
  • Verifies accurate photograph and documentation of work sites by personnel
  • Verifies all required information is entered into appropriate software application
  • Performs quality assurance final reviews of job files to support the services provided

Safety

  • Ensure safety protocols and trainings are kept up to date and being enforced both in the warehouse and in the field
  • Ensure equipment and vehicle maintenance is kept up to date
  • Recognizes and documents safety hazards
  • Identifies PPE needs and enforces adherence to proper usage
  • Coordinates and participates in team safety meetings
  • Maintains assigned PPE kit
  • Ensures employee compliance with all company policies
  • Conducts and/or coordinates safety training for field personnel
  • Monitors performance of direct reports to identify coaching and training needs
  • Follows up with field personnel and verifies proficiency in newly learned skill sets

Asset/Expense Management

  • Reviews, documents, and discusses operational outcomes and scorecards with the owners
  • Listens to stakeholder concerns or complaints and takes appropriate action
  • Oversees facility and warehouse activities, including cleanliness, safety, and compliance
  • Develops, implements, and oversees protocols to maintain facility, vehicles, equipment, and consumables in compliance with objectives
  • Manages expenses according to company budget
  • Manages damage reimbursement expenses
  • Oversees and manages assets by protecting and using equipment, tools, and materials properly
  • Oversees and manages the procurement of operating supplies to maintain adequate on-hand inventory
  • Oversees and manages the inventory processes of equipment and tools
  • Ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle and equipment maintenance is performed

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
