What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Executive position at Elephant Stock?

Summary/Objective 
We're looking to establish a new operation in the field of image licensing. Our organization has created about 12,000 images in their studio and we sell them in Elephant Stock. These images have been very successful and we'd like to license them to other companies that make things like coasters, T-shirts, and other items that use printed designs. 

The Licensing Executive will lead and develop this new operation to license our images to other companies in the Print-on-Demand and product wholesale industries. The executive will work closely with manufacturers to understand their target consumer and identify opportunities to expand their programs through customized sales presentations, artwork selection and licensure, financial negotiations and creative collaboration on product development.

Essential Functions will include and are not limited to:

  1. Develop marketing strategies to target customers, predicting customer behavior, and conducting surveys or trial studies to research new messaging strategies. 
  2. Art Licensing and Design
  3. Sales and networking
  4. Identify and research potential clients
  5. Develop and maintain client relationships
  6. Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
  7. Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
  8. Conduct ongoing market research
  9. Drive the end-to-end sales process
  10. Social Media, content marketing and development

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or GED 
  2. Five (5) years of related experience, preferably in a Marketing, Image Licensing, Branding, and Contracts
  3. Three (3) years of experience working with major brands
  4. Good written and spoken communication skills, with capacity to negotiate and deliver presentations. 
  5. Well organized with high attention to detail.
  6. Exceptional time management to effectively plan and deliver.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Good IT skills - Google Drive, sheets/excel, ppt/sliders. Photoshop (an advantage) 
  9. Passion for art!

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
