Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our office locations. Newton, MA, Wilmington, DE preferred.

The Biostatistical Analyst is responsible for leveraging large, complex and linked data assets to provide analytic and programming capabilities to lead and support diverse scientific portfolios of research within the Carelon Research Clinical Research business unit.
How you will make an impact:
- Develops statistical subject matter expertise of the research data and integrated environment; leads and supports statistical analysis with application of research methods in clinical research and emerging real-world data sources (e.g., administrative claims, medical records, electronic health records, surveys, point-of-care clinical data).
- Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: data management activities (e.g., manipulate and create complex analytic datasets, data cleaning and validation checks); supports development of statistical content for study documentation (e.g., protocols, statistical analysis plans), reports, publications, and routine safety monitoring and regulatory submissions; performs execution of analytic methodology, including writing programming to perform statistical analysis, creating automated Tables, Listings and Figures (TLFs), and performing quality control of programs and ensuring integrity of analysis; articulates methods, process, progress and results in writing and verbally to internal and external stakeholders; collaborates with the Scientific and Project Management teams to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget commitments.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a MS degree in Statistics or Biostatistics or a closely allied field with substantial statistical preparation, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Proficiency in Statistical Analysis System (i.e., SAS) strongly preferred; Familiarity with other analytical programs (e.g., R, STATA, PASS, SPSS, Python).
- Practical experience in data analysis in clinical research, in particular for public health or the social sciences; Demonstrated expertise in statistical consulting/collaboration and technical writing.
- Basic understanding and application of statistical methodologies, including linear and logistic regression, multivariable modeling, longitudinal data analysis, and survival analysis.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $73,440 to $132,192.
