Product Development/Management Director - Small Group Medical Products
Location : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
The Product Development/Management Director is responsible for market research, design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of multiple medical insurance product portfolios for a specific state(s).
How you will make an impact:
- Collects competitive data, performs market research and analyzes for findings and actions needed to be competitive and profitable
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains medical insurance products and portfolios to meet strategy, and be competitive and profitable.
- Partners with other product managers in specialty, RX, health and wellness, etc to achieve strategy, and be competitive and profitable.
- Tracks product and portfolio performance to ensure results are achieved and that they meet strategy, and are competitive and profitable.
- Maintains integrated market and capability roadmaps, ensuring internal alignment amongst Product teams and strategic alignment across the Commercial Small Group organization, as well as, ensuring all portfolios and products are compliant.
- Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.
- May lead effort or manage project teams in the implementation of regional and companywide initiatives including legislative changes, network/provider changes/ medical management program and policy initiatives, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated results in the following areas highly preferred: Product Development and Market Research.
- Experience and knowledge managing and developing health insurance plans and portfolios.
- Experience with strategic and tactical planning and market/opportunity analysis within the healthcare or managed care industry highly preferred.
- Highly motivated, accountable and self-directed: very organized, driving, flexible to manage a wide range of responsibilities strongly preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.
- Foster strong positive relationships at all levels of the organization, maintaining an environment of mutual education and support.
- Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders/executive leadership, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $98,720 to $177,696
